Children who watched violent commercials during the Super Bowl were more prone to aggressive thoughts. The researchers believe that the violence projected from the game itself and reinforced in the commercials.
Researchers recommend that parents limit how much exposure children have to violent imagery and talk with their children about media messages.

The Super Bowl is the second largest food consumption holiday of the year, second only to Thanksgiving.
Given the buffet-style setup of most Super Bowl, the portions may be one of the big reasons behind that trend. According to a study out of Cornell University in 2006, larger serving bowls led to an increase in food consumption of more than 50 percent.
So the best way to avoid overeating this Sunday, according to the researchers, is to use smaller bowls.
